| Lovely poster by celebrated artist Eileen Soper who worked with Enid Blyton to produce her nature readers in 1940s. Macmillan published accompanying posters for use in the classroom and this is one of them - No. 26 "The Wonderful Carpet". In very good condition for age, just a few pinholes to top edge in border, but these would be covered if the poster were mounted before framing. Enchanting image of a magical fairy princess walking through a carpet of bluebells in the woods with her train being carried by a pixie servant. Beautiful colours and lovely and vibrant, enchanting. | Very pretty simple floral calendar from 1947. The calendar is complete and has not been written on. There is a gift inscription written on the back of the calendar. Card image of anemones in a vase is lovely, just slightly creased in one corner. There is a ribbon hook to the top to use when hanging the calendar. Perfect for a study or vintage style kitchen. |

| Wonderful vintage framed print c1930s in its original frame with chain on back. A must for tea lovers! A printed verse, an ode to the delights of tea, with beautiful highlights in pink and green. It is in a heavy oak frame. In good condition for age, but there is one small water mark to the base of the print near the frame edge. | Very pretty floral vintage box from Marshall & Snelgrove Department store (c1950). Marshall & Snelgrove was a very popular chain of department stores which opened in the 19th century and was acquired by Debenhams. This very pretty box would have been used to wrap clothes, linens and textiles and would make a very useful storage/display item today. It has some wear to edges, scuffing etc but its design is very pretty and striking - set against a black background, sprigs of various flowers cover the box lid - bluebells, carnations, snowdrops, tulips, mistletoe and holly are just some of the various flowers. The box measures approx 46cm x 30cm x 7cm. Lovely on top of a wardrobe or dresser for display or storage. |

Print is in overall good condition for age, some very slight staining to top and five or six wormholes in the frame (front only), these could be treated with a simple application of woodworm killer if you were worried. | Beautiful vintage print of "Alice Blue Gown" by Arthur Garratt? (print is unsigned by the artist seems to be Garratt). This is such a pretty image of a beautiful girl in blue dress and floral shawl. There is some speculation that the girl in the picture was Teddy Roosevelt's daughter, Alice - there is even a hit song "Alice Blue Gown" inspired by Alice's Dress! A very lovely image which would look wonderful on a bedroom wall in gorgeous colours. | Very pretty vintage cross-stitched embroidered framed picture of an open door, surrounded by flowers with the word "Welcome". This would look lovely on a hall wall by the front door, what better greeting! Lovely, vibrant colours to the embroidery which is on cotton/linen, all in cross-stitch, even the little bluebird above the red door. The picture is in its original old wooden frame which is not in perfect condition. There is a slight nibble to a piece of frame (about 1cm) and some marking to wood. The picture itself has some markings to one side, it seems like a slight watermark which is on left hand side before embroidery starts by the letter "W" and a little above too. This is not glaringly obvious, but it is there, It might not notice once hung on the wall either. However, this piece is not pristine, but perhaps that is what adds to its charm. At some point the back of the print has been rebacked with some cardboard on the rear of the frame. Measures approx 39cm x 34cm. Very charming. SOLD |

He is known for his fine floral still life paintings and for his work in Bristol in the 1940's, where he was commissioned to paint church murals amongs other works. This pretty floral print is of a vase full of vibrant Anemone flowers. Contained in a glazed frame with the original Bristol framers label on the reverse. Measuring 12" x 17.5". There are some pale foxing freckles to the edges of the print and there is a small bite out of the bottom margin of the frame. |

From robins to blue-tits, chiffchaffs to starlings - they're all here. Absolutely charming too! This would make a lovely display if mounted in a frame. | Wonderful, complete set (50 in total) of Wills cigarette cards of Household Hints. Issued in 1936, these cards are in very good condition. Featuring many wonderful images and tips for the vintage home, eg how to remove sea water stains from brown shoes, how to "Frost a window", some uses of salt, how to make a barometer, restoring a crushed broom, making a weather-vane and cleaning an old oil painting. These would make a fabulous present or look great mounted all together in a frame. There's really no excuse for any of those odd jobs to be left undone now... SOLD |

| "A Song for April" melodie by Robert S Thornton, 1930s sheet music. The graphics on this piece of sheet music are delicious! A nostalgic glimpse of rural England in springtime, primroses nestle on top of a hill, clouds billowing in a blue sky and down below a country village surrounded by fields. This would look so pretty framed or on display and is in very good condition for age. Colours are lovely and bright and would certainly bring Springtime into any room. Failing that, you could always sit down at the piano and play the music! |
| Oh little brown jug how I love thee! This is no ordinary little brown, or not so little, brown jug. It is in fact a lovely large Italian studio pottery jug, decorated with pretty applied daisy like flowers, not dissimilar to the iced gem biscuits that we are so fond of. The jug measures 17 cm tall. Generally in very good condition with just a few tiny flea bites to the glaze around the rim and some minor surface marks.Fill it with summery flowers or a jug of cream to pour on your strawberries. |
| Every home should have one.. or garden at least! These two charming twin chaps are German pottery gnomes, each standing 19 cm tall. They are made from a hollow terracotta, pottery type composition with an over glaze. There are some varying degrees of wear to the glaze but otherwise in very good condition without chips or cracks. They would make ideal bookends or partners to sit amongst your Dahlias! |
