| Herbert is a much loved bear and has been greatly cuddled over the years. This is evident by the amount of balding he has to his fur. He still requires lots of love and cuddles and would love a new home. Herbert still has some of his silky mohair fur, two lovely brown glass eyes and a stitched mouth. He is soft filled and sits very comfortably. He stands 13" tall. |
| A dear little squirrel who looks as though he has stepped out of the pages of a Beatrix Potter book. Little Nutkin is made from mohair and has a hard straw filling. He has beady little glass eyes and holds a very tasty little hazel nut which he is munching on. Once upon a time he would have squeaked and still has his squeaker inside but it is no longer working. Nutkin stands 7.5" tall to the top of his lovely bushy tail. |
| This dear little cowboy doll hasn't seen much action judging by his pristine denim jeans and buckskin waistcoat. He wears a holster complete with a silver plastic pistol, a shiny Sheriff badge and a detachable Stetson hat. He has the blueset of eyes.. just like Steve McQueen and stands 7.5" high.. unlike Steve McQueen. A wonderful toy from the 50's in mint condition with original 'Empire' paper label on bottom of foot. |
| George is simply gorgeous.. with oodles of character and a certain amount of pre-loved wear. Lovely little vintage teddy bear, straw-filled, with little plastic nose, eyes and stitched mouth. George has jointed limbs and stands 10.5" tall on is threadbare paws. All he asks for is a loving home and someone handy with a needle and thread. |
| Twenty four lovely brightly coloured wooden blocks make up this set of building bricks. Illustrated with coloured pictures on one side, coloured letters on another, stencilled letters and pictures on the other two sides. Not quite the full set but with plenty of scope for sharpening those early building and spelling skills. The letters Y & Z are sadly missing. | This adorable vintage bunny doll looks as though she has stepped from the pages of a Mabel Lucie Attwell book. A wonderful character doll with rabbity ears and a pretty felt face. Accessorized with a red woollen scarf, black felted belt with embroidered buckle, red mittens and little red felt booties. The fur is made from a woollen mix fabric and does show some slight signs of wear. She stands 15" tall to the top of her felt ears. Overall a tip top hippity hoppity bunny girl! |
| Dear Prudence is a very rare kind of pussy cat, made by 'Dean's Childsplay Toys Ltd' in the 1950's. It is rare to find a pushalong cat so Prudence is rather special and certainly looks the cat's whiskers with her red velvet bow and bell. She is made from a black silky plush fur with white paws, bib and nose. She stands 21" tall on a wheeled frame and is 13" in length to the handle. Prudence has taken great care of herself and is lovely condition with virtually no balding or wear to her fur, she also retains the yellow Dean's Childsplay label on her belly. A purrrfect puss!! | Ned is a lovely little donkey in search of a new home, or pastures green maybe. Produced in 1950s by Chiltern Toys, he still has the label to his tummy. Needing very little really other than some TLC. Very cute and collectable, if you give him a push he can go walkies by himself. He is straw stuffed and his coat is a little worn in places but not badly and he is in generally good health. Some slight wear to frame which is a lovely red. (We are happy to supply more photos if required). He measures approx 29cm tall from head to toe and 50cm from top of frame to base of wheel. He has his harness and reins ready for a trot. He hasn't got a label but we suspect he is a 'Hermann' squirrel with a very good pedigree. |

His coat is in good condition save for one small patch of baldness on his hind leg. With two little glass eyes, long silky ears and the most beguiling expression, he is sure to win your heart. | Stocking Stitch Suzie is a very sweet doll indeed! In very good condition for her age, she seems to have been behaving herself over the years, busy sitting on the shelf twiddling her thumbs (if she had any) rather than playing in the garden and muddying her knees (if she had any!). She stands approx 25cm tall from her tiptoes (if she had any) to the top of her bonnet (knitted of course). Knitted beautifully throughout apart from her face which is a plastic doll face. "Farm Folk", a Dean's Rag Book - "A BabySafe Book" c1950s/1960s. This lovely little rag book has the words "hygienic, washable and Made In Great Britain" on the back, no. 6322. Wonderful piece of childhood nostalgia. Three pages of fabric with farmyard images (6 images in total). In good condition for age, slight stain to back which might come out with a gentle wash (book says it's washable!). These rag books by Dean's are becoming very collectable too! | What a wonderful toy to encourage some carpentry skills, a vintage toy carpentry set from the 1950's. Housed in the original cardboard box with a delightful label on the lid. The set consists of 12 different tools including two saws, a ruler, two mallets, two tack lifters, a pair of pliers (damaged), an angle, a hammer and a screw-driver all with wooden handles. Some of the metal has some slight corrosion/rusting but is generally in very good condition with some damage to the box also. |
| This is such a charming vintage tea plate from Alfred Meakin 'Bunny Ware". Gorgeously nostalgic images of bunnies playing in the garden - perfect for the nursery or dresser shelves. Plate measures approx 18cm and is in overall good condition for age, there is very slight crazing to one spot some wear to edges and it looks like a bunny has taken a nibble to one edge (please see photo, about 1cm of a tiny nip on edge to left of pink bunny at top). | John Jaques & Son Ltd first introduced this game of Snap in 1866, using illustrations of grotesque characters as he had for Happy Families. This complete edition was published in the 1930's. It comprises fifty six cards of 'Grotesque Characters' in groups of four cards for each character. The game of 'Snap" is a firm family favourite with each player placing down a card in turn till two cards match each other and the word 'SNAP' is called out by the player with the quickest reflexes! This game is complete with all 56 cards in the original slip case box. Someone has been rather enthusiastic with the sellotape as the box is liberally held together with the tape. The cards are well thumbed with degrees of grubbiness but without tears or major damage. A wonderful game for the collector. |
| Wonderful evening party/parlour game produced in "The Dainty Series", "Household Commodities". Produced in 1920s/1930s. A set of 24 cards with anagrams of household objects on them, the winner is first to submit a total, correct list. Wonderful collection of anagrams to be deciphered, glimpses from the vintage pantry - Carraway seeds, Quaker Oats, Ground Rice and of course Tapioca! This wonderful wooden puzzle depicts a grocery store from the 1960's when grocery stores were in abundance on our street corners. Measuring approximately 21.5 cm x 21.5 cm and in lovely condition. | Absolutely charming vintage 1950s Victory plywood jigsaw puzzle featuring a delightful birthday party scene. Children sitting around the table awaiting their birthday tea, so lovely and nostalgic. 100 pieces in P3 series with an original cost of 4 shillings and 11 pennies! The puzzle measures approx 22cm x 17cm and the colours and condition are very good. One of the pieces has a very slight nick missing from it (please see photos), this does not detract from the puzzle and cannot really be noticed unless under close scrutiny. Puzzle comes with original box which is also in good condition for age. Time to make a wish and blow out those candles... |
